Management information systems Current Events Articles: Staying abreast of current trends in the field is critical to maintaining information system integrity, compliance, and needs-based forecasting. For their initial post, each student will prepare and post a 2-3 paragraph summation of a current event related to the MIS topic addressed this week. I typically give wide latitude to the topics you want to study more in-depth for this assignment; I only ask that these articles come from more mainstream and reputable sources. User group boards, blogs, wikis, etc., are good resources, but I would discourage their use for this assignment as they are not always reputable nor are they peer reviewed. Reputable web sites or the library are good resources (online and in print) to help you with these assignments. Please cite the article or web page being summarized using appropriate (MLA or APA) formatting.
