There are so many different aspects of healthcare that working in an IT world
There has been a lot of work that has gone into this class — Between work, children, life – it has probably been my most difficult class. Having worked in the Healthcare field for over 20 years, many of the classes I had prior to this, I haven’t had to think a whole lot — a lot if it was information that I already know from experience. However, this class made me think — it made me have to research and dig for the information that I needed.
There are so many different aspects of healthcare that working in an IT world, I knew nothing about. I know from IT perspective what it takes to open a clinic – monies involved, equipment needed, some staffing requirements. But to try to have to pull something together from the very beginning – talking salaries, policies and procedures, leadership roles building from the ground up was something I never put much thought into. It takes a lot of planning, a lot of money and a lot of patience to be able to pull it off. And after this, I am not sure I want to be involved from the forefront when it comes to implementations.
