Kone has consistently upheld the fundamental conviction that using an automobile should involve more than just going up or down stairs. Kone’s emphasis on design strives to provide visitors with a pleasurable experience that enhances a property and its users. Its elevators utilize cutting-edge innovation to increase the comfort of passengers to a new degree.
According to (LINDBERG-REPO et al., 2016), the UltraRope, a cutting-edge device from Kone made with carbon fiber technology, was introduced. The new technique also doubles the ropes’ lifespan compared to traditional ropes, which might lower the maintenance cost. Additionally, Kone provides a method for monitoring the state of ropes in real-time, enhancing maintenance and safety. with the introduction of this product there will obviously be competition. business is all about competition and who has better products than the next guy. i cannot list every competitor that will be affected because there are many suppliers of steel elevator cable so i will say that the competitors that will be impacted are the ones that make steel elevator cables. this UltraRope product sounds really cool and with all the testing done on it, can stand up to the abuse way better than the steel cables. because it weighs less, and is much stronger it will be looked at by builders for everything from new construction buildings to refitting older elevators. this product can be used around the world and when thinking about the “bang for your buck” this cable beats steel cable any day to me. Because this product is so useful and strong, there will be alot of competition and the steel elevator suppliers will be impacted by this and will also need to get into other industries in order to not go out of business.
