Focus of the topic is the role of the nurse as it relates to quality and safety of patient-centered care
TOPIC: Nurse fatigue and sleepiness
Each topic will be presented from the perspective of the current expected role of the nurse in regards to patient-centered care, quality of care, and aspects of safety. Presentation will also integrate the importance of collaborating with other professionals, and the impact of evidence based practice and informatics and technology for the specific topic. Connect the topic to the larger health care system. Incorporate the necessary knowledge, attitude and skills for the nurse to be effective within this topic.
Critical aspects that facilitate the nurse and those that serve as barriers will be addressed relative to each topic presented.
