Finally, determine how they worked together. Did the group function successfully or were they dysfunctional?

Incorporation of critical thinking, class terminology and theories into the group analysis

The peer group was formed through self selection of the group members. Members of the peer group share the same interests and also social status and social background. The group members are in the same age group. It is therefore a group where members have relatively equal power when it comes to decision making even though there are hierarchies in the group with the group being led by a leader who commands actions to be done in the group. There are possibilities of distinct kinds of behaviors that will be evident among the members of the group and which form the basis for starting up the peer group. The members of the group influence one another. The impacts can either be positive or negative depending on the values of the peer group. This affects the level of socialization of one another in the group and how they associate with one another.
