You will discuss one illicit drug Examples: Cocaine, opium, marijuana, heroin, methamphetamine, specifically you will need to cover. : 1) a brief history of the drug’s use in America, 2) it’s current legal standing, and if prohibited, the regulations and sanctions surrounding it (try to tie this specifically to Georgia and not just nationally), 3) a discussion of two different theoretical perspectives on why the drug might be used by people, 4) your perspective on the drug as well as an explanation of your recommendation for prohibition, decriminalization, medicalization, or legalization. You will need to engage in your own independent research to complete this assignment. You will need to cite your sources in the text of your paper and provide a references page.
