Introduction

Martin Luther King’s Junior’s speech, “I have a dream” was meant to show the world about the evils that were going on in the United States during the fight against racism. During this time, there were a lot of movements fighting for equality of all Americans irrespective of their skin color. This speech intended to show the world and Americans that the problems that African Americans were facing during that time as a result of racism would one day end. This speech was a success as it appealed to the world and Americans and even influenced several changes that led end of acts of racism in the United States (Bobbitt, 2007).
