Why is shared information so important in a learning organization in comparison to an efficient performance organization? Discuss how an organization’s approach to sharing information may be related to other elements of organization design such as structure, tasks, strategy, and culture.
The differences between the EPO and the LO evolve around the elements of organizational design; structure, tasks, culture, and strategy (Colbran et al., 2019). Strategic planning is a process of creativity, and the clean insight arrived at during the process might alter past initiatives. Planning consumes resources, a precious commodity (Colbran et al., 2019). “As a process that eventually defines the direction and activities of the organization, it can be an overwhelming and daunting task. Despite the overwhelming nature of the process, the benefits of planning can far outweigh the hard work and pain involved in the process” (Colbran et al., 2019).
