Today’s workplace is characterized by some human biological diversity and many human cultural differences. The cultural differences specifically may surprise or offend some based on what you feel are appropriate behaviors in comfortable surroundings. The actions of others may not feel comfortable or appropriate to you. A good example of this is shown in the video clip in this unit’s reading section.

A situation when I was uncomfortable with a person
There is a time I went for internship in a firm that was in our home town. Being an investment bank, I was assigned to the brokerage department. I was to report to the head of the department who was also supposed to guide me in the course of my duties.
