If democracy is about “Rule of the People”, then what is happening in this age of inequality and marginalization, rising fascism and xenophobia, social media and “fake news”, populism, the climate crisis, conflict, and Covid-19? Is Democracy still viable or is it failing? And if the latter, is it time to give something else a try?
