For Monday, 4/5, you should open the Chapter 9 Folde. read the chapter and peruse the PowerPoint.
In this chapter, pay close attention to the fact that you need to research your audience before writing…people will only continue reading if it is required or relevant to them. Look at the sections on structure, clarity and presentation; all are helpful for your future classwork at Stetson and beyond. Look at all of the great examples of thank you letters, evaluations, letters of rec, memos, reports, etc…if you are planning to take further classes in the Business School, knowing how to write all of these will be very helpful.
I would like for you to pick your poison…you can reflect as usual using APA OR you can write a sample thank you letter for the mock interview we just had. Use the example in the book to guide you. (p. 218) If you pick the letter, no APA required. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!!!

For Wednesday, 4/7, you should open the Chapter 10 Folder read the chapter, peruse the PowerPoint, then reflect on what was important to your future success and professionalism in the chapter and write about it. You can discuss your own experience with leadership and conflict management, what that looks like now, and what that will look like in your future life and career path. Think about what it means to be a leader versus a manager. Make sure you look at the section on utilizing power and what power dynamics look like in society and different organizations. Reflect on the leadership theories listed…it will be helpful in identifying the leadership styles of your current leaders and what type of leader you are, and strive to be….personally I strive to be a transformational leader, someone who articulates a goal/vision and then inspires others to help make that vision a reality. Really reflect on following up and following through…as an ENFP, I am naturally ideas oriented, but not always great with my follow though…this is why I surround myself with people who have the ability to produce my visions.
