Becoming Gendered paper. “Gender lessons” are ubiquitous for children and adolescents. For this assignment, your goal is to analyze the gendered messages of a practice (defined broadly, from school-based learning practices, celebrated events, sports, etc.), toy (or set of toys), game(s), story(ies), or magazine(s) targeting children and/or adolescents. Alternatively, you can narrate your own “becoming gendered” story, illustrating and analyzing your own gendered development, experiences, and gendered messages you grew up with. Papers should be approximately 5 pages long
