Put yourself in the role of a film critic and examine the key ideas and content of the film
PBS Frontline: Trump’s Trade War film review
The second film we will be watching is entitled, “PBS Frontline: Trump’s Trade War,” https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/trumps-trade-war/
Put yourself in the role of a “film critic” and examine the key ideas and content of the film:
1. What is the film about? What are the key ideas and supporting details?
2. What are the strengths of the film? What are some weaknesses?
3. What were you most struck by or found interesting about the film? Why?
It is okay to discuss film techniques, camera work, editing, and so on, but these should take up a small portion of the film review. Instead, focus on the film’s main message and your reactions and discussions related to the key themes.
The film review should be between 1.5 and two pages, double-spaced, and the summary part should be no more than two paragraphs. The rest should be your analysis and discussion of the key ideas, supporting details, and your assessment of the film.
