Purpose: All US history and World Community classes require a 7 page research paper for students to make connections between the past and present through analysis of primary sources and assessment of their contemporary relevance.In doing so, students will demonstrate their ability to find primary and secondary sources using library resources (books, databases, etc.), exercise skills in primary source analysis, and write effectively.

Format: Please write a well-organized, typed, double-spaced, 2250 word paper, EXCLUDING citations and bibliography (approx. 7 pages).Please follow standard norms for format, including standard one-inch margins. Include page numbers and a cover page.Both footnotes AND a bibliography are required.
