A loyalty program that I’m a member of is the Spotify Premium for Students program. With my Spotify Premium Student account, I get all the perks of Spotify Premium while at a discounted monthly subscription price as well as access to Hulu and Showtime, both digital streaming platforms that I would otherwise have to pay for in order to access (Spotify). It’s three services for the price of one! The perks of being a part of Spotify Premium means the user will have unlimited song skips, will be able to play any song they want rather than have to shuffle through albums, and will not have to listen to ads in between music (Elliott, 2018). To have all these perks, Spotify Premium users pay $9.99 per month. Spotify Premium Student, however, is a discounted loyalty program for currently-enrolled students and only costs $4.99 per month. The only cons of having a Spotify Premium Student account is that the user will have to start paying the normal subscription cost of $9.99 eventually when they are no longer a student, and Spotify does check to confirm that you are still a student so that you can’t cheat the system. Also,the Hulu included in the student plan is the ad-supported version, so you will see ads if you watch on Hulu. One thing that I would change about the student program is replacing the included Showtime access with either Netflix, Disney+, or Amazon Prime Video access. Showtime is not as popular as these other video streaming services; Showtime does not have as many users, and it’s selection of movies and shows are not as big of hits or talked-about as much as the content on the three other services (Moore, 2019).

I have a loyalty rewards program with PlayStation Plus. It has many pros while having only a couple of cons. The many pros that I just mentioned includes discounted games, movies, music, and other downloadable content. In addition, you get to play online multiplayer with other players around the globe. One last nice perk that comes with my subscription and personally my favorite is that I get two free games every month. The couple of cons that I mentioned at the beginning includes a $60 fee for an annual subscription so that means it is not free like other loyalty rewards programs. The other con is that the free games are not all that great, meaning they give out games that cost around $20 rather than a $60 video game. Occasionally they give out a big hit game but it is rare and if it happens, it is after a year from that game being released. If there is anything that I would change about this program, then it would be to give a preview of what is on the next weeks list of deals. That would would be a huge bonus because Publix does this with their weekly ads and it would give the customers a heads up before purchasing anything at full price. This would satisfy the customers even more. One more thing that I would change is to add a two-day refund policy. This would allow customers to have a demo of a product to see if they like it or not and satisfy them at the same time.
