Introduction
The southeast medical center was inaugurated in the year 1920. In the 1950s, the hospital significantly expanded its capacity increasing its beds up to six hundred and obtaining helicopters as an effort to improve its trauma services. This hospital provided services like the neonatal care and transplant care. Its main assignment was to offer patient care as well as trainings through research. The southeast medical center later exposed its challenges on decision making and leadership through its privatization in the year 1990 as a way of polishing its performance and enabling it to compete with other hospitals (Wolper, 2011).
