Determining the age of the remains

Whether answering questions about our ancient evolution (paleoanthropology), about ancient peoples and societies (bioarchaeology), or about modern criminal cases (forensic anthropology), those who study human remains use similar techniques/methods. Citing at least three separate case studies (whatever interests you), describe the methods used and the questions answered. Be specific (e.g. HOW do we determine age, sex, cause of death, types of food eaten, etc.?).
