Next, examine whether it is possible to think without using language. If you believe it is possible, describe the primary ways in which a person might enact so-called “languageless” thinking. If you believe it is not possible, describe what you foresee as major problems with languageless thinking.

RE: Week 8 Discussion

I agree with Ludwig’s theory that to think there must be some sort of language established. He felt that language attaches people to the world. He states that when we consider language in the right light, there is no need to develop a theory to explain the connection between language and reality. His theories are a little confusing but I think I have a good idea what direction he is implying. I do not think “languageless” thinking is possible because there is no way to correlate between the thought and the objects they are thinking of. Language doesn’t have to be spoken, it can be visual also.
